This web-site will be updated as often as we have accurate information available to report to the owners.
We have called for the City Inspectors to come out and approve the electrical work on the remaining units in the east building and are hopeful they will be here on Tuesday March 10th or Wednesday March 11th. If all goes well with the inspections, the City will authorize Centerpoint to install the remaining meters which usually takes several days. It is our hope that all remaining units in the east building will have their permanent power restored by Friday, March 13th or by Monday, March 16th, however, this schedule is based entirely upon the inspectors and the Centerpoint crews all being able to complete their work as planned. We have found in the past that there are many unforeseeable factors involved which can delay the project and are therefore hesitant to give a concrete date for completion. We will update the web-site as soon as we have more concrete information to report. We realize this is a very busy time and owners and their guests are anxious to be able to use the property. Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to complete the projects as quickly as possible.
As soon as the permanent power is restored to the remaining units in the east building, we will also be able to begin work on the front east building elevator (this elevator is powered by the meter bank currently being replaced). The front elevator repairs are anticipated to take about a week if all goes as planned. You may recall that the power to the rear east elevator was restored several weeks ago and we immediately began work on the rear east elevator at that time. Unfortunately, when the Schindler technicians began work on that elevator, they discovered that in addition to the components originally determined to be in need of repair, the jack that operates the elevator car had rusted was also in need of replacement. The jack was ordered on January 23rd and is due to be shipped this Thursday and we hope to begin repairs on the rear elevator sometime next week as well. We have been told that the work involved will most likely take about one week for this elevator as well.
We will keep you up to date on our progress and we appreciate your patience as we continue to bring the property back on line – one component at a time.
